Toolbar Tutorial MaxVersion Updated

I have bumped the maxVersion property on the example toolbar used in my Firefox Toolbar Tutorial to 3.1.*. This should allow the sample extension to work in the current 3.1 beta builds.

Both CoLT and Googlebar Lite will not be updated until a 3.1 release candidate is ready, so as to keep the number of releases down.

Contact Form Fixed

The contact form here at this website has been fixed. I did some debugging after my recent breadcrumbs issue, and managed to forget to restore things back to their original state. Many thanks to Archaeopteryx for finding and reporting the issue.

I’m really on a roll for bugs this month, huh?

CoLT 2.4.3

In what must be a record release window, a new build of CoLT is (yet again) available. This time, I’ve squashed a few bugs that I should have caught the first time around. It pays to test.

CoLT 2.4.2 Released

A new build of CoLT is now available. This new version adds a fairly large new feature: the capability to copy the current page’s location and title. Several new custom format variables have also been added, as has a new Arabic (ar) localization.

Please note that as of this release, there are a total of seven locales that are incomplete. These include:

  • Chinese: Traditional (zh-TW)
  • Czech (cs-CZ)
  • Korean (ko-KR)
  • Portuguese: Brazilian (pt-BR)
  • Spanish: Argentina (es-AR)
  • Spanish: Spain (es-ES)
  • Turkish (tr-TR)

If you would like to help complete these localizations, simply head over to BabelZilla and check out the CoLT translation forum post for more information. Accounts there are free, and you can do all of the translation work in your web browser. It couldn’t be simpler!

Enjoy the new release, and please let me know if you spot any problems.
