Options
General

- Single click in search box selects all search terms
- When checked, a single click within the search box will cause any existing search terms to be automatically selected. When unchecked, a single click within the search box will simply place the cursor at the clicked position.
- Open search results in new tab (if necessary)
- When checked, search results will always open in a new tab (unless the currently opened tab is blank).
- Remember last combined-menu search type
- When checked, the last used search type from the combined search menu will be stored. All future searches will then be of that search type (until a new search type is chosen). The icon on the combined search menu button will reflect the currently stored search type.
- Automatically search on drag and drop
- When checked, a web search will automatically be performed when selected text is dragged and dropped on the Googlebar Lite search box. When unchecked, the drag-drop operation will simply populate the search box with the dragged search terms.
- Google site to use
- Select the Google top level domain you wish to use for all search functionality.
- Show button labels (selective text only)
- When checked, each of the default buttons (combined search menu, up button, and highlighter button) will display a text label along with the image.
- Go Up
- When checked, the "go up" button will be displayed on the toolbar.
- Highlighter
- When checked, the highlighter button will be displayed on the toolbar.
- Search Words
- When checked, search word buttons will be displayed on the toolbar (one button for each search term).
Toolbar Buttons

All of the check boxes on this options tab are used to specify which buttons should be displayed on the toolbar.
Search History

- Warn me when form history is disabled in Firefox
- When checked, a warning dialog will appear when form history is disabled in Firefox, and the "Maintain a search history" option is enabled. This option is enabled by default and it is recommended that it not be disabled.
- Maintain a search history
- When checked, Googlebar Lite will keep a history of all search terms.
- Enable auto-completion
- When checked, search term auto-completion will be used when entering terms into the search box.
- Use inline completion
- When checked, the best match in the search history will be pre-filled automatically as you type. This option is only available if the "Enable auto-completion" option is enabled.
- Automatically search when you select from the search history
- When checked, selecting an item in the drop down search history box will cause a Google web search to be performed automatically.
- Ask before clearing search history
- When checked, the user will be prompted before clearing the search history. If unchecked, the prompt will be skipped.
- Ignore Answers.com searches in history
- When checked, Answers.com search terms will not be added to the search history.
Keyboard Shortcuts

- Shift + Enter
- Allows the user to change what type of search is performed by using the Shift + Enter keyboard shortcut. The default search type is a site search.
- Ctrl + Enter
- Allows the user to change what type of search is performed by using the Ctrl + Enter keyboard shortcut. The default search type is an images search.
- Shift + Ctrl + Enter
- Allows the user to change what type of search is performed by using the Shift + Ctrl + Enter keyboard shortcut. The default search type is a newsgroup (groups) search.
- Set Search Box Focus
- Allows the user to set the keyboard shortcut used to set focus to the Googlebar Lite search box. Note that changing this option requires a restart of the browser. The default value is ‘K’.
Context Menu

- Show Googlebar Lite context menu
- When checked, a Googlebar Lite context menu will appear in the standard Firefox context menu (right click on a web page to view it). To hide the Googlebar Lite context menu, simply uncheck this option.
All of the other check boxes on this options page are used to specify which menu items should be displayed on the Googlebar Lite context menu.
